Wellbeing Teams and Action Teams
Everything you need to know about setting up an Action Team at your school or early learning service.
What is an Action Team?
An Action Team is a group within an early learning service or school that is committed to championing mental health and wellbeing and supporting how it is embedded in everyday practices.
Action Teams can vary in size and structure. What matters most is bringing together a group of people who can work collaboratively to embed an approach that reflects the unique needs of their setting.
They help:
- build enthusiasm and shared ownership across your learning community
- coordinate practical steps to embed mental health and wellbeing into everyday practice.
What is an Action Team Leader?
Each Action Team has an Action Team Leader (ATL) who works alongside a Be You Consultant to support the learning community.
An Action Team Leader:
- drives and motivates collective action
- coordinates the team’s activities and keeps things on track
- acts as the main point of contact for Be You Consultants
- has access to extra resources and tools through the Be You website.
With Be You’s support, Action Team Leaders can confidently lead change and inspire their community.
