Updating your Be You profile

Updating your Be You profile is easy when following these simple steps.

If you are a Victorian State Government educator with an @eduMail you will need to update your Be You profile to your @education.vic.gov.au email address. 

This will ensure the Be You team deliver all correspondence to your primary email address. 

Updating to your @education email will: 

  • Enable you to log in to your Be You Profile using your @education.vic.gov.au email.
  • Ensure all Be You updates and correspondence will be sent to your @education address.
  • Maintain your Be You dashboard profile dashboard with your professional learning history. Steps to update your Be You Profile.

You can follow these simple steps to make the changes:

  1. Log into Be You using your current @edumail.vic.gov.au
  2. Go to the Be You account menu on the top right, click on the red circle with your initials in it and choose the drop-down menu item My Profile
  3. Update your email to your @education.edu.au address, check and update any other details while you are in your profile. Save your changes by clicking Update Account 
  4. The updated email address will appear in your profile,  and will have updated your account. Log out and log back using your @education email address
  5. Remember when logging in to use your @education email to login into Be You.  

Why do I need to update my email address?

The Be You team understands the Victorian Department of Education is in the process of migrating all @edumail address to @education addresses. The @education address are now Victorian educators’ primary email address. 

What email address will I need to use once I have updated my Be You Profile to login?

The login email address will become be your updated @education.vic.gov.au address.

Do I have to update my email address?

By updating to your @education.vic.gov.au address will ensure the Be You team is contacting you using your primary Victorian Department of Education email address. 

Will emails still be delivered to my @edumail address?

All Be You correspondence, once your Be You Profile is updated will go to your @education email.

If I don’t update my Be You Profile will I continue receive Be You correspondence?

In the short term yes, however by updating to your @education email address will ensure you will never miss an update into the future. 

Once I have updated my email address will my password change? 

Your password will not change when you update your email address, however your login email will change to the new email address.
