Tools for Action Teams
Are you part of a registered Be You Learning Community? Your Action Team has access to free tools and resources to help implement
Be You in your setting. These range from reflective and survey tools to an Action Plan that can empower you to embed a sustainable approach to mental health and wellbeing in your early learning service or school.

Mental Health Continuum
It can be helpful to think of your own mental health and the mental health of those around you as something dynamic and changing - on a continuum rather than static. The Be You Mental Health Continuum outlines developmentally specific signs and symptoms across a number of areas to indicate where on the continuum a child or young person may be sitting.
It can help you to recognise specific behaviours and impacts on daily functioning in children and young people, which may indicate the need for further assistance.

Planning for Empowerment: Growing a mentally healthy generation
This resource explores how early learning services, school age care services and schools can support children’s empowerment. It encourages educators to reflect on how children learn about, understand and enact their rights.
Organising Speakers Guide
Inviting speakers to your learning community to share personal stories can give children and young people real-life insights into mental health. Hearing about challenges and pathways to recovery can reduce stigma and encourage children and young people to talk about their feelings. The Organising Speakers Guide provides an overview of what to consider when engaging an external speaker. It includes how to create a safe environment for all involved and a list of organisations that provide speakers.
